The map this office covers is narrow on purpose. Twenty-four trips is a number a small booking office in Lincoln can actually hold in its head: the office knows which operating company runs each one, who answers the phone at that company on a Tuesday afternoon, how long they take to confirm a room, and what they do when a river is too high to float. That knowledge does not scale. Add a hundred more trips and the office becomes a form that forwards requests to strangers, which is a different business and a worse one. So the catalogue stays at twenty-four, and where these twenty-four trips go is the whole of the map.
What that leaves out is large and worth stating plainly. There is nothing in the catalogue for most of continental Africa, nothing in the Middle East, nothing in the Pacific beyond the Hawaiian islands, nothing in mainland China, nothing in South Asia, and nothing anywhere that requires a domestic flight inside a country whose domestic aviation this office cannot follow week to week. The reason in almost every case is the same: this office has no working relationship with an operating company there that it would put its own name behind. It is not a judgment on those places. Several of them are the best travel on earth. It is an admission that a booking office in Nebraska with a catalogue of twenty-four trips has no business pretending otherwise, and that a reservation placed with a company nobody here has ever spoken to is a reservation nobody here can fix.

- Ten trips. Reserve any of them and the office places the reservation directly with the operating company, usually inside two working days. Rail, coach, small lodges, guided walking. No domestic air ticketing: you buy your own flights. Mexico, Belize and Costa Rica | Four trips. Ground arrangements, lodges and guided days are all placed by this office. Airport transfers are included where the operating company runs them and named as excluded where it does not. Iceland, Ireland and the United Kingdom | Three trips. Full ground arrangement including rail passes and rental cars where the trip calls for one. Ferry sectors between islands are booked by the operating company, not by this office. Continental Europe, west and south | Four trips. Trains between cities are held by the operating company as part of the package. Reserve early: two of the four have a fixed departure list and sell out by early spring. Nordic countries and the Baltic | Two trips. Winter departures only for one of them. This office can move a departure date once at no charge, subject to what the operating company holds. Peru, Ecuador and Chile | One trip. Everything after arrival is arranged. Internal flights inside the country are ticketed by the operating company and appear on your invoice from them, not from here. Japan | Notes and no catalogue trip yet. The office answers questions about the two seasons it knows and will say when it does not know. Reserve nothing here until a trip appears on the board. Everywhere else | No reservation can be placed. Five orderings exist for the same twenty-four trips, and geography is not one of them. That is deliberate. Sorting by continent produces a list where a nine night walking trip in Ireland sits next to a four night city stay in Ireland as though they were the same kind of holiday, and they are not. If the region matters most to you, read the table above and then open all five orderings to sort the same trips by the fact that actually decides it: beds slept in, hours in the air, miles on foot, how much is arranged for you, or the starting figure.
Amber Almanac Bookings LLC takes no money from you at any point. There is no checkout on this site and no field anywhere that accepts a card number. The operating company invoices you under its own terms and, once you are home again, pays this office a commission. That arrangement is worth knowing before you read the regional notes above, because it explains why the honest answer to a country not on the list is a flat no rather than an improvised yes.
